Official Start of Partnership with Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin
From January 11th-17th, the Musethica Session in Berlin with Hikari Quartet tutor Veronika Hagen (violin) marked the official start of the cooperation with the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.
10 concerts in 5 days were on the programme, including at the women's prison in Neukölln, the Charité campus in Berlin-Mitte, and an inclusive daycare center, where 100 children clapped along enthusiastically to the rhythm.
The session concluded with a public concert at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin. Full house! All the seats in the Gala Kutschen Hall I were occupied, and the college colleagues spontaneously decided to place a few more chairs on stage so that everyone could find a seat. The concert opened with words from Prof. Andrea Tober, Rector of the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, and Musethica co-founder Avri Levitan. Musethica and the university share many values, and the collaboration will continue to grow.
Maximilian Beer, member of the Hikari Quartet, summarises:
“The week at Musethica with Veronika Hagen was one of the most intensive and musically valuable weeks in our careers. Such direct and focussed work with the opportunity to present the results of each rehearsal immediately is something unique.”
