Review: Musethica debut in the city of Beethoven

From September 26th to October 4th, Musethica debuted at this year's Beethovenfest Bonn for the first time. On the occasion of the music festival, two ensembles were able to play a week of concerts in Bonn and the surrounding area. They were led by Avri Levitan (viola) as well as Johannes Meissl (violin) and Nils Mönkemeyer (viola). Among other, the ensembles visited the men's prison in Siegburg/Bonn and played for residents of a refugee centre, psychiatric clinics, schools and senior citizens' residences.

A highlight of the week was the concert at the Bundeszentrale für Politische Bildung (Federal Agency for Civic Education), which was open to the public. The two final concerts at the ‘Democracy Festival’ in the centre of the UN campus were also a complete success for the musicians: On both evenings, they presented their pieces to sold-out audiences. In total, the young musicians were able to reach over 850 listeners over these four days.

A big thank you to the entire Beethovenfest Bonn team and to all the organisations and interested parties who gave us a warm welcome and listened to us - we'd love to come back!
