1000+ Concerts inaugural session in Barcelona, Spain

From October 13th to 18th, the first session of Musethica, in collaboration with the Escola Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC), took place in Barcelona as part of the European project "1000+ Concerts: Innovating Higher Music Education through Social Inclusion".

The violist Avri Levitan, co-founder of Musethica and its artistic director, accompanied the young musicians of the Vivancos Quartet on this occasion. Together, they performed a total of eleven concerts, ten of which were held in social centres and schools for individuals with disabilities throughout the metropolitan area of Barcelona. The final concert was open to the public and took place at the Orchestra Hall of ESMUC.

During the week, ESMUC also hosted the first of an annual seminar series on ‘The Art of Practising’. As part of the EU co-funded project 1000+ Concerts and directed at young musicians, this format addresses topics related to individual practice and effective concert preparation.

The recording of the public concert is now accessible on YouTube and here below. Enjoy!
