Maya was born in Israel in 1993 and started playing the violin at the age of 6. After attending High school of the arts she pursued her violin studies at the Tel Aviv “Buchman Mehta” Music Academy with prof. Hagai Shaham and Lena Mazor.
Maya had participated in festivals such as the International “Musethica” chamber music festival in October 2016, “Keshet Eylon Mastercourse”, the “Mendelssohn Summer School Festival” in Hamburg, “Iclassical Academy” in Italy and “Musica Mundi” festival in Belgium. She had masterclasses with Ivry Gitlis, Miriam Fried, Any Schnarch ,Georgy Pauk, Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Zhou Qian, Grigory Kalinovsky, Tanja Becker-Bender ,Sebastian Schmidt, Regis Pesqiuer and more.
Maya has won the America – Israel Foundation Scholarship for several years in a row and has served the Israel army forces in the “Outstanding Musicians Unit” as the leading violinist of the Israeli army quartet. The quartet traveled on tours to the United States to represent Israel by playing on honorable concerts. Maya also took part in the “Young distinguished Musicians” program of the Jerusalem Music Center, Mishkenot Sha’ananim and the “Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra” Courses.
Maya began her viola studies as a second subject in the Tel Aviv Music Academy with Prof. Lilach Levanon and since then she had participated as a part of the Divan West-Eastern Orchestra, In the Orchestral Academy in the Israel Philharmonic orchestra, had master classes with Nobuko Imai, Hartmut Rohde, Miguel De Silva, Roland Glassl and lead the Viola section of the Academy Orchestra.
In april 2016 Maya won 2nd prize of the Buchman Mehta Music Academy strings international competition.
Maya is now a student in the class of Prof. Tatjana Masurenko in Leipzig and is playing on a Modern Instrument on a generous loan by Mr. Yehuda Zisapel.
