Irene Ansó (Pamplona, Spain, 1997) began her musical studies with Javier Navascués and Diego Arbizu, finishing her pre-grad school with top marks and special price in the “Pablo Sarasate” conservatory.
She has led the cello section of the Young Orchestra of the Basque Country, and appeared as a soloist playing Carmen Fantasy and Haydn C with the conservatory’s orchestra. In 2014 she won first prize at the 12th Fernando Remacha Chamber Music Competition.
She has received lessons and valuable advice from teachers such as María Casado, Asier Polo, Aldo Mata, Dane Johansen, Maximilian Hornung, Beatriz Blanco and Michal Dmochowski. She is now in her sophomore year at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón under guidance of Prof. Fernando Arias
