Musethica e.V. signs sustainability declaration for the cultural sector

The Sustainability Declaration for the Cultural Sector (NDK) is part of an initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action to implement global climate and sustainability goals in the cultural sector. Across the country, public and independent institutions demonstrate their commitment by signing the declaration, showing their determination to contribute to achieving climate goals and fostering a cultural shift in line with global sustainability objectives.

Currently, 143 organizations and individuals from various cultural fields have signed the declaration — and Musethica is now part of this group. By doing so, we acknowledge the UN Agenda 2030, shared by 193 countries worldwide, and aim to further anchor the topics of sustainability, cultural diversity, and climate protection within our organization.

The nationwide initiative Culture4Climate is committed to achieving global climate and sustainability goals through the cultural sector. In the face of climate change, the cultural sector faces the dual task of reducing harmful emissions across all cultural fields and promoting a cultural shift towards a sustainability culture through cultural practice.

Further details on the principles and guiding goals of the declaration, as well as a list of all signatories, can be found here.
