Dinis enjoys a strong record of first prizes in national Cello Competitions, and has already established himself as a valued performer of Chamber Music
Dinis Lecomte was born in 1996 into a family of musicians. He began his musical studies on the cello at age three. While attending the Oporto International School, Dinis pursued private musical studies under the tutelage of, successively, professors Cristina Coelho, Miranda Pythian Adams, Jed Barahal and Hrant Yeranosyan. He went on Trinity Guidhall Cello Exams with distinction, enabling him to receive the Exhibition Award – 2011 for Grade 8 highest mark achievement. Aiming on a musician career, Dinis graduated from college at the Oporto Music Conservatory, and is presently attending the Oporto Polytechnic Institute School of Music and Performing Arts, “Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo” under cello professor Filipe Quaresma.
He has been improving his musical training through complementary Masterclasses, under renowned pedagogues Ernest Reisingër, Paulo Gaio Lima, Márcio Carneiro, Natalia Gutmann, Stefan Popov, Xavier Gagnepain and Mats Lidström. Dinis enjoys a strong record of first prizes in national Cello Competitions, and has already established himself as a valued performer of Chamber Music. Dinis had already been granted an invitation to join the outstanding bunch of professional artists last year for the Musethica 2014 Chamber Music Festival in Zaragoza.
