Musethica Spain Week with the Conservatory musicians 5.05.2016 – 15.05.2016, Zaragoza
All the auditions we have been doing at the different conservatories of Zaragoza are finally paying off in the amazing group of musicians that are performing with us at the May week of the Mastering Performance Program Spain.
We are very proud to present these young talented people, who for a week in May are taking their enthusiasm and their beautiful music to different centers of the city. But…Who are they? Let’s introduce them!
Forming the very successful quartet of saxophones the Werthens Quartet we meet Pau Ignasi, Silvia Sanagustín, Carlos Zaragoza and Jesús Reneses. The four of them are currently studying at the Superior Conservatory of Zaragoza, under the guidance of Prof. Mariano García. However, before meeting in Zaragoza each one of them already had a promising career taking off. Jesús Reneses finished his studies at the Professional Conservatory of Cuenca graduating with distinctions, winning in 2014 the Concurso Intercentros Melómano in its regional phase. Silvia Sanagustín won in 2008 the third award at the concurso l’Arjau, and this 2016 she has been awarded with a fourth position at the International Andorra Sax Fest. Carlos Zaragoza graduated with distinctions as well from the school Federico Moreno Torroba of Madrid, where he won the first prize at their Chamber Music Competition, in 2013.
Eva Ortells (violin) graduated with distinctions from the Proffesional Conservatory of Alicante. Soon after this She won the first prize at the III Concurso Intercentres Dénia, Xábia y Altea. She has received classes of great musicians such as Santi Juan, Enrique Palomares y Aizol Utirriagagoitia. She is a current member of the orchestras JOMA and OMA. In 2013 She joined the Superior Conservatory taking classes of Juan Luis Gállego, Pablo Suárez and Quiroga Quartet. Since 2016 she is a member of the JONC (Young National Orquestra of Catalunya) and the JONDE (Young National Orquestra of Spain).
Julia Lorenzo (viola) is a key part of Musethica Spain. Graduated from the Conservatory three years ago, she has taken lessons from such prestigious teachers as Amihai Grosz, Gilad Karni, Gerard Caussé, Tatiana Masurenko, Tabea Zimmermann, Wilfried Strehle, Roy Shiloa, among others. She has been part of different orchestras such as Orquesta VERUM, Orquesta Opus 23, Orchestra Santa Cecilia, JORCAM. Since last year, Julia is the organizer of a monthly concert at the classroom of the Miguel Servet Children Hospital. In addition, she finds time to take part in amazing projects such as Xiquitsi, teaching violin and viola in Mozambique.
Carolina Uriz (viola) is from Pamplona, where she attended the Professional Conservatory under the supervision of Robert Pajewsky, graduating with distinctions. She has improved her performance thanks to many classes with proffesors as Avri Levitan, David Gaillar, Joaquín Riquelme, Igor Sulyga or Ashan Pillai, among others. Nowadays she is takin her fourth year at the Superior Conservatory with the Prof. Álvaro Gallego. Since May 2015 she a regular member of the Young National Spanish Orquestra.
Irene Ansó (cello) was born in Pamplona, where she graduated with distinctions from the Proffesional Conservatory after taking lessons of the Prof. Javier Navascués and Diego Arbizu. She has continued on her music education with classes of Lluis Heras, Mercedes Ruiz, María Casado, Asier Polo, Aldo Mata, Dane Johansen, Rafal Jezerski and Michal Dmochowski. She has been a regular member of the Young Sinphonic Orquestra of Euskadi, performing as main cello. Nowadays, she is perfecting her music at the Superior Conservatory in Zaragoza with Prof. Fernando Arias.
This year Musethica has assist to the creation of a young quartet with some of the musicians of the Conservatory. Still starting as an ensemble, they play under the guidance of Avri Levitan.
Ángela Aguareles (cello) es one of our youngest musicians. She started her training at the age of seven years old with Prof. Pilar Juan and ever since She has proved repeatedly the proficient cello she is becoming in. Graduating from first and second of the Proffesional Conservatory with distinctions, she has had the opportunity to attend to different masterclasses with Dimas Moreno, María Casado, Fernando Arias and Avri Levitan. She is currently studying the 3rd course of the Proffesional Conservatory
María Biarge (cello) moved to Zaragoza after graduating from the Proffesional Conservatory of Huesca in 2014. Since 2014 she is perfecting her talent at the Superior Conservatory in Zaragoza, helped by Prof. Ferando Arias. She has had the opportunity to receive classes form many different prestigious teachers, as Damián Martínez, Aldo Mata, Susana Stefanovic, Ángel Luis Quintana, Lagoba Fanlo, David Taylor, Matthew Sharp and Michal Dmochowski. In 2013 María participated at the Ingenium Academy of London, and she is currently a regular member of the Chamber Orquestra of Huesca.
Laura Sorribas (cello) joined the Proffesional Conservatory with nine years old under the guidance of Prof. Pilar Juan, who continues teaching her. Laura has completed her formation with numerous masterclasses of musicians such as Aldo Mata, Suzana Stefanovic, Fernando Arias, Beatriz Blanco, David Apellaniz, Avri Levitan and many others. She has taken part in many different ensembles and she is currently part of the CPMZ orchestra.
