Musethica Collaboration with Gotland Chamber Music Festival 2016
One more year, Musethica Sweden is proud to collaborate with the Gotland Chamber Music Festival of 2016. This time we are very grateful to count on the participation of two old friends of Musethica, Edi Kotler (violin), and Haran Meltzer (cello), and the presence of Avri Levitan (viola) as instructor.
The concerts will take place on July 24th and 25th in the beautiful city of Visby.

This year’s repertoire includes:
Beethoven’s string trio in c-minor, op. 9 no. 3, 3
Madrigals for violin and viola of Martinu,
Bach’s two- part inventions for violin and cello
Schubert’s trio in b-flat major, D 471.
Edi Kotler (violin) Started his studies with Elena Mazor at ‘Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel-Aviv University’, and currently study at ‘Hanns Eisler Hochschule fur Musik’ with Prof. Stephan Picard. In April 2015 won the First prize in the strings competition of Buchmann-Mehta school of music, Tel-Aviv University and the First prize of Chamber Music Competition.
He performs as violinist in many ensembles and chamber music in many different Entities. Edi was part of the David Goldman Program for Outstanding Young Musician and Jerusalem Music Center Programs. Also He is one of the Leading of the Young Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra.
Edi has taken part in masterclasses by Itzhak Perlman, Ivry Gitlis, Mauricio Fuks, Stephan Picard, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Pavel Vernikov, Edward Grach, Miriam Fried,Ani Schnarch, Patinka Kopec , Vadim Gluzman and Boris Kuschnir. He is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship and is anAlumnus of the Keshet Eilon Mastercourse. He plays on “N.Vuillaume”, violin loan from America-Israel Cultural Foundation AICF.
Haran Meltzer (cello) has appeared as soloist with the Israel Philharmonic playing the Saint-Saens cello concerto. He has appeared as well a few more times with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Orchestra, the Israel Simfonietta Beer Sheva, the Tel-Aviv Soloists Ensemble and the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra.
He regularly plays solo recitals in Israel, where he won the first prize of the “Lions Club” cello competition in Israel, and twice the first prize of the “Buchman-Mehta School of Music” chamber music competition. He is currently receiving Scholarships from the America-Israel cultural foundation since 2007, and from “Zfunot Tarbut” foundation since 2009. He has participated as a chamber musician in the Perlman Music Program in New York, Ravinia Festival in Chicago, and “Musethica” Festival in Israel.
He has had the opportunity to play in master classes with Frans Helmerson, Gary Hoffman, Ralph Kirshbaum, Uzi Vizel, Hillel Zori, Rafael Wallfish, Ron Leonard, Paul Katz, Timothy Eddy and Lynn Harrell. Studied with Mrs. Luba Rabin and Mr. Emanuele Silvestri. Today continues his studies with Mr. Zvi Plesser.
