New Music Quartet

New Music Quartet is formed by Katarzyna Gluza (violin), Agnieszka Gołębiowska (violin), Karalina Orsik-Sauter (viola) and Dominika Zur (cello).

 

 

 

Katarzyna Gluza (violin) studied violin at I. J. Paderewski Music Academy in Poznan with M. Derewecki and A. Szymczewska and Universität der Künste in Berlin with T. Tomaszewski. S he has been awarded several prizes as violinist, such as the 1st prize on International Music Competition in Barletta ( Italy), 1st Absolute Prize on International Music Competition in Francavilla Fontana (Italy), Compulsory Piece Prize and Honourable Mention on IX International Julio Cardona Instruments Contest (Portugal).
She has received the scholarship by the Polish Minister of Science. She has attended masterclasses with violinists : Y. Grubert, Midori, E. Zienkowski, R. Baldini, Y. Volgin, B. Bryła, J. Stanienda, M. Baranowski. As a chamber musician she has performed on Princess Daisy Chamber Arts International Ensemble Festival ( Poland ), Aurora Winter Classic, Aurora Music Star Festival ( Sweden), Zeist Music Days ( Netherlands ).

 

Agnieszka Gołębiowska (violin) was born in Lublin in 1990 and began her musical education aged six. She studied with Mariusz Derewecki at Poznan Music Academy. She mastered her skills under Edward Zienkowski, Marcin Baranowski, Bartosz Bryła, Keiko Wataya.
She’s collaborating with many renowned orchestras.
As a chamber musician she has developed her skills under Artemis Quartet, Meccore String Quartet, Quiroga String Quartet, Natasha Pritschepenko. She took part in International Chamber Music Festival Q’arto Mondi ( 2014, 2015) and in Zeist Music Days – International Music Festival & Masterclasses (2016).

 

Karalina Orsik-Sauter (viola) was born in Diatlovo (Belarus) in 1987. She began her music education at the age of 7. She attanded the Primary Music School in Diatlovo where she learnt the rudiments of violin playing. She continued her education at the State Secondary School of Music in Minsk, in Mrs. Larisa Vatamaniuk viola class. She then moved to Poland, where she studied viola at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, in the Faculty of Instrumental Music. Karalina graduated from the Academy with the degree of Bachelor of Music in instrumental music, in 2011and Master of Music in instrumental music, in 2013. Karalina has participated in several courses in viola music composition; among them are the Jelski International Competition in Minsk in 2006 and the 5th Michał Spisak International Music Competition in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Karalina is busy giving concerts with the Polish National Radio Orchestra in Katowice. She also regularly works with the Capella Bydgostiensis Chamber Orchestra and several other Polish and foreign ensembles. Karalina is the winner of a number of violin and viola competitions, such as The International Music Competition in Grodno (1nd Prize, 2004), The Wolodarski Musi Competition in Minsk (3nd Prize, 2004). She is a Dominika Zur (cello), 2nd Prize in the international contest of Chamber in Venezia (2015)

Dominika Żur (cello) was born in Krosno (Poland) in 1992. She attended the Ignacy Jan Paderewski State Primary Music School in Krosno, where she learnt the rudiments of cello playing. She continued her education at the Ignacy Paderewski Secondary School in Krosno, in Mr. Wojciech Pelczar’s cello class. She studied cello at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music In Bydgoszcz in Prof. Andrzej Bauer’s and Bartosz Koziak’s class, in the Faculty of Instrumental Music. She graduated from the Academy with the degree of Bachelor Music in 2014. Dominika has participated in many orchestral courses, among them are the Polish-German Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Lower Silesia (2008 and 2009), the Academy of Arts in Szczecin (2010),  Workshop for Young Musician „Musical Safety Pin” (2010) in Konstancin Jeziorna, near Warsaw, the Wratislavia Cantans Festival Orchestra in Wrocław (2010), the International Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra in Szczecin (2014), the Young Aukso Philharmonic (2014). She also regularly works with the Young Wroclaw Orchestra, the Pomeranian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Capella Bydgostiensis Chamber Orchestra in Bydgoszcz, the Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra. Among her greatest achievements are the National Cello Competition in Warsaw (3rd Prize, 2010), the Luigi Boccherini Cello Competition in Zamosc (honourable mention, 2008),  Polish Competition for Young Instrumentalists in Jaslo (3rd Prize in 2010, honourable mention in 2011), the National Chamber Competition in Bydgoszcz (honourable menton, 2015), the International Chamber Competition in Venezia (2nd Prize in 2015). She was awarded scholarship twice by the Mayor of Krosno.
